Sadie Obsession.jpg

Hi! I'm Kayla and I'm the mind behind this (hopefully awesome) website! Pictured with me is my amazing dog, Sadie!

I loved every second of making this site and I hope you enjoy the experience. My passion for this topic began here, at the University of Michigan with Sally Schrier -- the best Psych 111 professor there ever was and is and will be (Disclosure: I may be biased since she was my only professor for the class). It was in her class that my love for psychology began; so really I owe my current major and career goals to her (Major: Biopsychology Cognition and Neuroscience, Career Goals: professor research, and psychologist with a specialty in PTSD [this last part is probably more due to my family background in the military]). This also is where my original interest in the Stanford Prison Experiment started, so really, thank you Dr. Schrier!

But my love for psychology is not the only reason that I did this website (and yes not just because it was an assignment). I did it because of my love for writing. This would be shocking to my freshman year self, and in all honesty, I am not sure I would have this love if not for two people. The first is my adviser who encouraged me to take English 225 when I was on the pre-med track (Thank you Michele Ruffino!). And the second is my English 225 professor, John Buckley. Thank you so much for giving us such intersting topics to write about and also giving us creative liberty within those topics. This is the class which really ignited my love for academic writing, and which bolstered my confidence.

So, this was supposed to be about me, but these are the people who have helped me get to this point (and of course my wonderful friends and family) and so I thought they were important to mention especially since without any one of them I may not be in this position to even make this website.
